The mission of the Community Development Network of Maryland is to promote, strengthen, and advocate for the community development sector throughout Maryland’s urban, suburban, and rural communities.

The Community Development Network of Maryland envisions thriving Maryland neighborhoods and communities, where people of all incomes have opportunities for themselves and their families.

The Maryland Asset Building Community Development (ABCD) Network was founded in 2006. ABCD took the form of a network of community development organizations, with a lean staffing structure, to build members' capacity and advocate with one voice. In 2013, the organization's leadership conducted a strategic planning process and decided to change the name to the Community Development Network of Maryland, to better align with its mission. Since 2013, CDN has been an effective organizer and representative of community development organizations throughout Maryland.

Get ready to advocate for change and make your voice heard at NLIH CAPITOL HILL DAY – it's time to stand up and be heard!
Capitol Hill Day gives advocates the opportunity to meet with their members of Congress to urge them to oppose funding cuts to affordable housing and homelessness programs, expand resources for vital programs, advance anti-racist policies, and support legislation that would improve the lives of millions of low-income people.
