Connect with peers and policymakers, build your organization's capacity, and support CDN's vital work to promote, strengthen and advocate for Maryland's Community Development Industry!
When your organization joins CDN, you connect with community development peers and policymakers. CDN members learn from each other, benefit from capacity-building opportunities, and participate in successful efforts to generate more equitable policies and increased funding for community development organizations and their communities.
CDN makes a tangible difference in our communities. In the 2019 General Assembly, CDN preserved and increased important sources of community development funding, and supported legislation that enables jurisdictions to use the Judicial In Rem process to address vacant and abandoned tax sale properties. CDN also supported legislation that increases transparency in reporting on Opportunity Zone investments that receive state tax credits, financing and funding.
CDN builds bridges between growth and equity. The Baltimore Equitable Community Development Network (BE/CDN) is creating a sustainable, high-impact network that strengthens connections and increases productive collaborations among Baltimore community development organizations and partners.

The Community Development Network of Maryland (CDN) invites partners and policymakers to People & Places Day 2026—a day in Annapolis focused on connection, shared learning, and practical engagement!
This year, we’re highlighting community-based work happening across Maryland. A small group of exhibitors will share their information. We will equip attendees with clear, usable information—including information on the DHCD budget, bills we are supporting and data to make the case for community economic development.
